John was the eldest son of David Williams and Mary nee Owen. He was a slate quarryman. Died from a fractured skull aged 19 at Brynewenol, Llan Ffestiniog. He was a brother of Jane Jones nee Williams who is buried together with their parents in this grave. A large arched slate tombstone which is inscribed with all their names, marks the grave. The inscription was updated to include the names Mary Williams, John Hugh and Jane Jones and Jenny Eccles nee Jones in 2013.
