ALBERT BARNES, NEWARK DEAD
One of Oldest Citizens of Community Buried There Tuesday.

Albert Barnes, one of the oldest residents of the Newark community, died at his home Sunday, one week before observing his ninety-second birthday. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Henry P. White, and burial was in the Newark cemetery.
Mr. Barnes was born at Newark March 22, 1850. He was married to Miss Cynthia Skaggs (sic) Nov. 21, 1875, and to them were born nine children, one of them, Posa (sic), dying in infancy.
He is survived by his aged widow and the following children: Mrs. Ola Farrar, Lewistown, Mont.; Mrs. Alice Abbett, Louisiana, Mo.; Mrs. Pinkie Feigenspan, Wyaconda, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Kouwe, Mrs. Jennie Johnston, Ben Barnes, J. G. Barnes and W. A. Barnes, all of Newark.
There are twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
John F. Barnes of Los Angeles, Calif.; E. T. Barnes, Kirksville; G. W. Barnes, Brashear, and R. N. Barnes and Mrs. Mary E. Kelley of Newark are half-brothers and sister.
One of Mr. Barnes' treasured possessions was a fifty-year honorary pin from the I.O.O.F. Lodge for continuous membership in that organization.
