Funeral services are Wednesday in Tacoma, for a former eastern Lewis County man, Charles R. Battle, 57, who died Saturday in Tacoma.

The deceased, who had been living at Eatonville, was stricken at home, and died in a Tacoma hospital. He was born at Cazadero, Calif., and went to Eatonville in 1930 from Westwold, B.C.

Surviving are the widow, Olive M., at home; two sons, Frank, Randle, and William C., Lakewood, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Phyllis) Cain, Arcadia, Calif.; Mrs. Perley (Ann) Wiggin, Bern, Switzerland, and daughter, Naches; his mother, Mrs. Julia C. Battle, Alder; two brothers, John S. and Howard F. Battle, Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. George (Susie) Riddle [Riddell], Chase, B.C., and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday at 2 p.m., at the Dryer Mortuary chapel in Tacoma. Interment will follow at the Dryer cemetery at Tacoma.
