62 years old; born about 1728 *ESTIMATED* Birth date of August 10, 1728 and parents' links are from a suggestion; no source was provided and they could not be not confirmed.

Edward Aiken was one of a group of men who arrived in 1773 to settle the Londonderry township. Early town records note two men named Edward Aiken in the area at this time, often distinguished by their titles - Captain Edward Aiken and Deacon Edward Aiken. The two men built the first sawmill on Pond Brook in 1774; Captain Aiken soon after built a mill on West river, owned and operated by his son Jonathan.

The Londonderry Sifter (South Londonderry, Vermont) June 19, 1891. "Within a few rods of the outlet of the Lake* is located one of the oldest cemeteries in town, the first interments having been made over a hundred years ago. Here in a secluded and neglected spot sleep the early settlers, the hardy and undaunted pioneer sof Kent, the Aikens, the Pattersons, the Andersons, the Warners, the Coxes and many others."

It was suggested that Edward was married to a woman named Martha, andthat their children were Jonathan born Mar 18, 1759, Daniel born Jan 8, 1761, Jennet born Dec 11, 1763, William born Nov 1, 1767, and Mary born Mar 31, 1770.
