The year of death is from the Cemetery burial Day Book. The error is likely from the Death Certificate indexer. The NJ Death books in the 19th Century start in July 1 and continue until June 30 of the next year. The indexer may have left the auto fill option on for the year of death, from the previous year when completing the indexing form, when starting the January through June deaths. This year error is only for the January thru June NJ deaths.
