EZEKIEL ANDREWS, son of Samuel, of Southington, and his second wife, Sarah Hubbard, born 1745, baptized 28 April 1745, a soldier in the Revolutionary War. In 1781, he bought from Oliver Dutton, for £166, thirty-seven acres of land, with a dwelling house and a barn thereon. In 1787, he sold for £550, to Justus Wilcox, of Middletown, two pieces of land, the first containing 52½ acres with a dwelling house, said land is bounded on the west on lands of Thomas Andrews; the second place containing 125 acres, with a barn thereon, and this parcel of land was known (1872) as the "old Wilcox place." His father made him executor of his will (26 December 1769). He is said to have moved to Bristol, or Burlington, and subsequently, to Kinderhook, Columbia County (bordering on the Rennsselaer County line), New York. In 1778, his mother Sarah made him executor to her will, which was exhibited and proved in probate court. 15 August 1780, at Farmington; she also gave him a portion of her estate. Came to Rutland, Jefferson Co, New York, spring 1800, "a part of his children followed him" - among very first settlers in that area. (Southington 1745 - Rutland, Jefferson County, New York 14 March 1828) m. Southington 26 June 1782 Martha Munson (Southington bapt. 12 October1760 - Utica, Oneida County, New York 20 August 1799).
