ROCHESTER - Rita Bishop, 70, of Rochester passed away at Frisbie Memorial Hospital on December 3, 2013.

Rita was born on August 26, 1943 in Ogdensburg, N.Y. to the late Charles and Mildred Johnson. A resident of Rochester for 30 years, Rita was a Private Duty LNA in the area.

When she wasn't working, Rita enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales, taking trips to New York, playing Keno, Slots, and Bingo, she was a huge New York Yankees fan, but most importantly, Rita loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Rita is predeceased by her parents; her brother Larry G. Johnson; and her sister Sheila M. Johnson.

Rita is survived by her husband, David Bishop of Rochester; her sons, Kenneth Johnson of Ogdensburg, N.Y, Richard Trombley Jr of Rochester, James Trombley of Rochester; two daughters, Rhonda LaValley of Kingston, Tina Casey and her fiance Mike Biron of Williamsburg, Va; one sister, Marie Pinkerton and her husband Gerald of Ogdensburg, N.Y.; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.


Cremation is under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, N.H. 03867.
