She was a lifelong homemaker and was known for her love of cooking and baking on her woodstove. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church for 68 years.
Her husband, Cletus Henry Driver, whom she married Jan. 26, 1940, preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1994. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Robert Franklin Driver and his wife, Hattie, of Churchville; a sister, Jess Cox of Salem; a special great-nephew, Tom Taylor of Leesburg; and a special sister-in-law, Virginia Layman of Staunton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, in Union Presbyterian Church, officiated by Richard Travis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tom Taylor, Bill Baylor, Carl Craig, Riley Shiflet, Stanley Sheets, Mike Nickell, Charles Moore and Heath Karicofe.
