He was of the Church of Christ faith, was a Mason and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from American Airlines in 1994.
He was preceded in death parents and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Lola Bishop Mills, two sons, Lonnie Mills of Salina, Oklahoma; David Mills of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Ray Mills of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Bob Mills of Springdale, Arkansas; step sister, Virgie Shackelford of Fayetteville; step brother, Bob Adams of Winslow, Arkansas; several sister and brothers in laws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday December 12, 2013 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday at the Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Arkansas with burial at Black Oak Cemetery in Winslow under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
