Alfred Emerson Is Victim of Heart Attack Saturday

Alfred Emerson, 62 died in downtown Nevada Saturday at 9 p.m. of a heart attack. Funeral services have been set for Tuesday morning at 10 at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Leslie Zimmerman officiating.

Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Emerson was born in Story County November 13, 1900, the son of Clinton and Sadie Emerson. He remained a resident of the county his entire life.

Survivors include two daughters: Miss Wilma Emerson of Ames, and Mrs. Charles McFadden of Columbia, S. C.; and one brother, Lafe Emerson of Boone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, and one son, Richard, killed as a member of the armed forces in 1944.
