A Celebration of Mavis' life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN with Rev. Wayne Hjermstad officiating. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN.
Mavis was born December 7, 1937 at Bagley, MN the daughter of Basil and Emma (Steindl) Fultz. She was raised in Bagley and attended Bagley Schools. Mavis was united in marriage to Lionel Anderson on February 5, 1954 in Bemidji, MN. After their marriage they moved to Minneapolis moving back to rural Clearbrook in 1958. Mavis worked as a surgical nurse at the Clearwater Memorial Hospital for a few years and served as a secretary for the Bagley High School Superintendent retiring in 2002. She moved into Bagley in 2008.
Mavis was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and the Grace Free Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards and scrabble, quilting, going to the casino, gardening, and flowers.
Survivors include- a Daughter- Lorie Stormo of Duluth, MN Two Sons- Randy Anderson of Clearbrook, ,MN Ryan (Brandi) Anderson of Wadena, MN One Sister- Judy (Steve) Grimsley of Bagley, MN One Brother- Donald (Barb) Fultz of Minneapolis, MN 6 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Lionel in 1983, Sisters- Jean and Dorothy, and a brother Gerald Fultz.
