Seymour Friedman passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010, at his home in Fort Myers, FL. His loving wife of 49 years, Charlene Sakols Friedman, was at his side along with their sons, Bert and Craig. Sy was from Easton, PA, where he graduated from Lafayette College. He served in the 7th Cavalry during the occupation of Japan. He lived in Toledo for 39 years, where he owned Baskin-Robbins at Cricket-West Shopping Center and later, QuickPrint, on Secor Road. Sy is survived by his wife, Charlene; sons, Bert (Linda); Craig (Shelly); granddaughter, Taylor; grandson, Ryan; sister, Evelyn Perlmutter; along with nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sunday, August 29, 1 p.m. at Robert H. Wick/ Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Road, followed by burial at Eagle Point Cemetery in Rossford. The family will receive friends at the home of Jan and Bob Weaver, Toledo. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, to benefit the HealthPark ICU, P.O. Box 2218, Fort Myers, FL 33902.
