Feb. 9, 1925 - July 5, 2015 age 90 of Ashville, AL received his honorable discharge from this life on July 5, 2015. Mr. Brasher was preceded in death by his wife, Mary P. Brasher; parents, William Earl Brasher and Roxie Brasher; grandparents, Nancy Brasher and John Whitfield. He was a member of Sparks Gap Missionary Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL and loved Southern Gospel Music. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the NRA. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, played baseball, hunter, golfer, camping and gardening. He loved his family and friends to the fullest. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Jones, Clydean Smith, Laurie Brasher; sons, Barney Brasher Jr., Steve Noah; sister, Lucy Brasher Hill; brothers, Ben Brasher, Bill Brasher, Roger Brasher, Jack Brasher; grandchildren, Larry Jackson, Randy Snow, Mary Lynn Brasher, Tammy Jones, Christina Savage, Cecily Caudle, Scott Jones, James Webb, Brittney Brasher, Nicholette Brasher, William Rainwater, Colby Noah, Camael Noah; great grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica and Ben Fraley; Ryan and Savannah Savage, Haley Trent and Trey Vining; Hunter Sullens; Cote Reid, Eisley Brasher, Jonas Webb, Gabriel and Nicholas Snow; great great grandchild, Karson Tyler. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds at 11AM. Funeral Services will begin at 1PM on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Kilgroe Leeds Chapel with burial at Forest Crest Cemetery.
