Mrs. Donegan, a former Eagle Grove resident died Jan. 22nd at the home of her daughter Ruth, Mrs. Bert Ball, in Kewanee, Ill.
Msgr. John W. Howell, of Dubuque nephew of the deceased, sang the requiem high mass, assisted by the pastor of Sacred Heart, Rev. James Slowey. Interment was in Calvary cemetery.
Margaret Jane Howell, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Howell, and was born June 4, 1863 in Nachusa, Ill. She was married on Jan. 4, 1891 to Michael Donegan. Seven children were born to this union, George Donegan of Tucson, Ariz.; Marguerite Donegan Moore, (deceased), Ruth Donegan Ball, Kewanee, Ill., John Donegan, Phoenix, Ariz.; Marie Donegan Adams, New York, N. Y.; Kathleen Donegan, (deceased), and James Donegan of Des Moines.
She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Scott of Chicago.
Her parents, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Coleman, and her brothers, John Howell and George Howell preceded her in death.
Those from out of town who were here for the funeral were: Mr., and Mrs. Bert Ball, Kewanee, Ill., Kenneth Williams, Marshalltown, Thomas F.
