Carroll

Clay Carroll, 73, of Mooresburg died Friday evening, Nov. 10 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital after a short illness.

A member of Spruce Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, he was retired from Carroll Brothers Lumber Company.

He was preceded in death by two children, Betty Jo Mills and Randy Carroll, and a brother, J. D. Carroll.

Surviving are his wife, Eliza Cook Carroll; daughters, Mrs. Bill (Cricket) Crawford and Mrs. Joan Webb of Morristown and Mrs. Neil (Mavis) Heck of Mooresburg; sons, Wade Carroll of Bean Station, Houston Carroll of Morristown and Greg Carroll of Mooresburg; sisters, Lyda Mae Wells and Charlotte Long of Bean Station and Alice Adams of Mooresburg; brothers, Garrett Carroll of Mooresburg, Glen Carroll of Rogersville and Jack Carroll of Morristown; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Spruce Pine Grove Missionary Baptist with Rev. Calvin Helton, Rev. Billy Carroll and Rev. Dayton Lovin officiating.

Burial was in Lovin Cemetery.

Broome Funeral Home in Rogersville in charge of arrangements."
