GLEN CARROLL WAS THE SON OF DANIEL JESSE AND CLARA BELLE AMOS CARROLL.

HE MARRIED FRANCES MARIE PEARSON IN HAWKINS COUNTY, TENNESSEE. GOD BLESSED THIS MARRIAGE WITH THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN: DONNA, LARRY, SHARON, RICK, RHENDA, DANIEL AND DAVID.

Glen Carroll, age 88, of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 15, 2015. He was a member of East Rogersville Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Carroll received his B.S. from East Tennessee State University and his M.S. from University of Tennessee. He was an educator, businessman, banker, real estate broker, and developer. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

He was a dedicated Christian, who was richly blessed with an outstanding Christian family closely netted together by the wonderful love of Jesus. Positions held in an old gospel church were: superintendent, treasurer, secretary, Bible teacher for more than 56 years, and chairman of deacons.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Pearson Carroll; parents, Daniel and Clara Carroll; brothers, Garrett Carroll, Clay Carroll, J.D. Carroll and Jack Carroll; sisters, Lydia Wells and Alice Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Eula Pearson.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Trent and husband Bruce, Rhenda Spears and husband Ralph, and Sharon Carroll, all of Rogersville; sons, Larry Carroll and wife Carol of Northville, Michigan, Rick Carroll and wife Sandy, of Rogersville, Dan Carroll and wife Leslie, of Kingsport, and David Carroll and wife Paula, of Rogersville; grandchildren, Ted Trent, Scott Trent, Sonda Price, Sean Carroll, Joe Carroll, Chrystal Carroll-Brown, Chris Miller, Eric Miller, Joseph Carroll, Josh Carroll, Brooke Carroll, Amanda Carroll; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Long.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015, at East Rogersville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Owenby officiating. The Hawkins County Color Guard will conduct military graveside services 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at McKinney Cemetery.
