Resided at 802 First Ave. SE, Clarion, IA. Married 5/28/1938 to Ione M. Pech, the daughter of William J. Pech and Caroline Boland, in Ft. Dodge IA.

Cremated 7/3/1997. Interned in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA. Willim Funeral Home in Clarion, IA. Services at 10:30 a.m. in the Willim Funeral Home Chapel, by Rev. Mark Young from the Clarion Church of Christ.

Henry Adam Ziegler, 87, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at the Clarion Health Care Center.

Services were held in the Chapel of William Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3. Rev. Mark Young of the Clarion Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. Gary Brandt and Bud and Bonie Young provided the music.

Henry Adam Ziegler was born in Russia on July 20, 1909, the son of Peter & Elizabeth Ziegler.

When he was 3, the family came to the United States, first living in Colorado and then Kansas. They later moved to Belmond where he graduated from high school in 1928.

On May 28, 1938, he and Ione M. Pech were married in Fort Dodge.

They lived in Clarion and he worked for H.O. Salisbury Plumbing. In 1945, he started his own business, Ziegler Plumbing, which he operated until 1973. He was a naturalized citizen of the United States. In May of this year, he entered Clarion Health Care Center.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ione and nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Betty; four brothers, Peter, George, Nick and Adam.

He was a member of Cyrene Lodge #325 AF & AM, of which he was past Master, Ada Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Charmond County Club, Senior Citizens and a charter member of the Lions Club. "Ad" will be remembered for his love of family, home, golf, fishing and bowling.
