Elizabeth R. Neiman, 82, of Houston, formerly of Rockdale, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, in the Memorial Herman Northwest Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013, in Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Minerva Cemetery in Minerva, Texas. Rev. Lance Walch of Forest Grove Christian Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m., Friday, until service time.
Elizabeth was born in Rockdale, Texas, to the late Bose and Bertha (Berthard) Robinson. She was a 1948 graduate of Rockdale High School and attended business school. On August 16, 1949, she and Lee Neiman were married in Houston. Elizabeth and Lee owned and operated a business in Houston until their retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, on June 19, 2009; brothers, Harvey Wesley Emmons, Bose Emmett Robinson, and John Thomas Robinson; and a sister, Frances Robinson Simonton.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Neiman and wife, Jane, of Ennis, Montana; daughter, Sylvia Leyba Walmer, of Houston; grandchildren: Robert Marshall Leyba, Matthew Lee Neiman, Rachel Annette Neiman, and Kathrine "Goose" Neiman; brother, James Robinson, of Lubbock; sister, Kathleen Meyer, of Rockdale; Carrie Neiman, mother of Matthew, Rachel and Kathrine; other relatives and many friends.
