Born in Lewisburg, died Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital after an extended illness. She was a daughter of Charles E. and Hallie Amanda (Cloyd) Singer, a graduate of Lewisburg High School and Miami Universary in 1923. She retired in 1973 after 40 years as a school teacher with 12 years at Lewisburg schools and 28 years at Jane Adams Elementary School in Dayton. She attended Memorial United Methodist Church, was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society Intl., the Lewisburg Book Club, a life member of the Preble County Retired Teachers Association and the Lewisburg Historical Society. Survivors include first cousins, Donald Singer of San Mateo, Ca., Lewis Singer of Lodi, Ca.,and Carolyn Ball of Alta Loma, Ca.; and numerous other cousins. Funeral services were Tues., July 27, at Barnes Funeral Home-Lewisburg Chapel, with Rev. Jon Thomas officiating.
