Emily Salber, 82, of 324 Center Ave., died Friday, January 1 1999, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, where she had been a resident the past two weeks.
Born May 21, 1916, in Sheboygan, Emily was a daughter of the late Charles and Sophie Bellar Eurich. Emily attended St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran School and graduated from Sheboygan High School in 1933. On September 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Salber. The couple was married for 29 years before LeRoy preceded her in death on May 9, 1970.
Mrs. Salber was employed by Wisconsin Bell for 39 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Wisconsin Bell Pioneers and the St. Nicholas Hospital Auxiliary.
She is surviver by her sister, Elsie Bartelt, Appleton, WI, a sister-in-law Ruth (William) Salber Gabrielson, Gladstone, MI. She is further survived by nieces & nephews and their families, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanore Eurich Speckman and her step-mother, Anna Eurich.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 1999, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Ave., with the Rev. Robert Steele, associate pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The Lippert Funeral Home is serving the family.
