Dwain Ray Bracken, age 86, passed away on December 27, 2013 in Levan, Utah.

He was born February 27, 1927 in Nephi, Utah to Rulon Heber and Tacy Johanna Irons Bracken.

He married Joyce Margaret Huber on June 26, 1949 in the Manti Temple.

He graduated from Juab High School and served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He graduated from Utah State University received his Master Degree from BYU and taught school for thirty-five years.

He was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings. He served as a Manti temple worker for fourteen years.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Steven (Joy), Mark (Debbie), Matthew (Nylene), Rebecca, Deborah (David) Mosteller, and MaryAnn (Mark) Bradley; forty-two grandchildren; and thirty-three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brother, Newell; sister, Glenna; parents; his son, John; and grandson, John David.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in the Nephi Fifth Ward Chapel, 345 East 500 North. Family and friends may call on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, and at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.
