Mary Halstead Fincher, age 87 of Linton, formerly of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away at 10:40 A.M. Thurs., Oct. 27, 2005, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on September 19, 1918, the daughter of David and Bessie (Taylor) Eaton. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener & fisherman. She lived in Arkansas for eighty-three years, moving to Linton in 2001. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Pete & Charlene Halstead, one granddaughter, Megan Halstead, and one great-grandson, Brayden Stremming, all of Linton, one sister, Lois White of Arkansas, & two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, R.M. “Jack” Halstead, her second husband, Sam Fincher, two sisters, Sue Thompson & Hat Boydston, and two brothers, Sharon & Ernest Ellis. Graveside Services were conducted at Maple Grove Cemetery in Blytheville, Arkansas, on Monday, Oct. 31, 2005.
