Basil McCurry , 74 of 2156 Palm Street, Sutter, who died Saturday at Sutter County Hospital. A retired farm worker, he was an Army Veteran of World War II. A native of Potwin, Kansas he had lived here 35 years.
Survivors include four brothers, Barney of Yuba City, Oscar of Sutter, Cecil of Ashland, Montana, and Fred of Rogers, Arkansas ; and four sisters Geraldine Charge of Sutter, Fern Murfin of Holiday, Arkansas, Mable Barnes of Elija, Missouri, and Snowie Balter of Asotin, Washington.
Rev. H. Earl Morris, Pastor of the Sutter Methodist Church, was to officiate at services today at Sutter cemetery. Ullrey Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Basil never married.
