Funeral services for Donald Dean Clarke, 83, of Vinemont will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Father Marcus Voss officiating, with interment in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.
Mr. Clarke passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at his residence. He was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Newport, New Hampshire, to Ernest C. and Mary Clarke.
He was a postman with the U.S. Postal Service, and a member of the Cullman Masons, the D.A.V, the V.F.W., a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge, Cullman County Saddle Club and Cullman Senior Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Dean Clarke Jr.; two sisters, Iris Lee and Audrey Walker; and a brother, Ross Clarke.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Leverett Clarke; a son, Darren (Tracie) Clarke; a daughter, Jolene Craine; a stepdaughter, Jodi Sample; two brothers, Brandt Clarke and Graham (Peggy) Clarke; a grandchild, Donald (Carrie) Latham; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Kendall and Grayson Latham; and the mother of Darren and Jolene, Jean Bellinger.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
