Carol Nick Stewart, 71, of Farmerville, LA, previously of Ruston and Monroe, went home to her savior on January 9, 2014, after courageously battling cancer. As a wife, mother, and grandma, she was the ultimate example of "caring for family before herself."
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lois Nick, sister Bobbie Griffith, and great-granddaughter, Sierra Freeman.
She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Robert L. "Bee" Stewart; daughter Cindy S. Braxton and husband, Brian; daughter Sherry S. Williams; son Todd Stewart and wife, Maranda; grandchildren: Brandi B. Hough and husband Luke; Crystal O. Kelley; Katy B. Craig and husband Buster; Dakoda "J.D." Redden; Montana Redden; William Nelson; Cheyenne Nelson; Chandler Gilbert; Ben Stewart; great-grandchildren Daken Freeman, Blane Kelley, Ada Jane Craig and Conner Craig; sister Bonnie Konkle and husband Johnny; brother Lamar Nick and wife Mary, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 11 from 5-8 PM and services Sunday, January 12 at 2 at the Farmerville CHURCH of CHRIST, 306 E. Franklin St., Farmerville, LA. Burial will follow at Enterprise Baptist Cemetery
