Trieste - Italy - My grandfather David. Here he is in his uniform holding his baby daughter Denise (my Mom) in late 1950 or very early 1951. He was 26 years old at the time of this picture. Newly wed and a proud Dad, my Mom is the only child from his marriage to my grandmother Dolores. Around the year 1960 my grandparents were given a terrible blow when my grandmother's pregnancy with fraternal twins ended almost in the death of my grandmother. Grandpa and Grandma remained married until Grandpa's death in December of 1995. I know Grandpa is in Heaven with these twins he never got to meet.

My grandpa and grandma's wedding day on July 2nd 1950. The first man on the left is my grandfather's best man Richard Nix. Next to my grandmother (the bride) is her mother Giorgina Cerne (my g-grandmother). Behind them is my great uncle Giuseppe "Pino" Cerne who walked the bride (his niece) down the aisle.

Grandpa is in the middle with on the left his sister Ethel (Skippy) and on the right his sister Anna Katherine (Annie). All three are now deceased and I like to believe reunited on the other side.

Baltimore - in the 1980's. My Grandpa with two of his sisters, Ethel "Skippy" who is hugging him and Anna Katherine "Annie" on the right. He was visiting from Italy and they were celebrating his birthday (in May). All of the Styers siblings are now deceased, with Ethel being the last one to die in February 2008.
