Job Irons was firstborn son of Daniel Irons (son of Samuel Irons) and his first wife Anne Franklin (daughter of Elisha Franklin) who married on 10 March 1796 in Rhode Island; Eseck Irons was a younger half brother.

Job was a soldier in the War of 1812 in Lieut. David Woodburn's Company in Col. Farrand Stranahan 16th New York Militia Regiment. Job married Bethany Wood about 1817.

Originally buried in Prospect Cemetery but moved here when that was closed around 1891.
