Jesse Madison George was the son of James David George and Margaret Stogdill (George)
He married Florence Belle Robertson (George) 16 Apr 1882
Together, they had eight children:
1. Albert Clayton George: 14 February 1884 - 24 Oct 1949
2. Oscar George: 16 June 1886 - 16 June 1958
3. Annie P. George: 16 April 1888 - 13 April 1889
4. Lonzo "Lon" George: 12 March 1891 - 28 October 1918
5. Lloyd Carrol George: 26 August 1893 - 7 February 1937
6. Goldie Alphy George (Short): 26 October 1895 - 18 November 1981
7. Artie Missie George (Short): 1 September 1897 - 14 February 1925
8. Solomon George: 21 August 1905 - 15 June 1916
According to his death certificate, he is buried at Arwine with his first wife, Belle, although only a small memorial marker for him can be found there, apparently installed by his second wife, Annie Victoria Richardson (George)(10 May 1878 - 1 January 1960) to make sure everyone knew he was HER husband. She did not add any dates to the marker or identify herself. She is buried alone in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth.
According to Jesse's grandson Bob Short, his mother and other family members stopped contact with Jesse when he married his second wife.
