"Mrs. Dora McRorey, 79 years old, passed away at 4:40 o'clock this morning at the family home 230 South Missouri avenue. Mrs. McRorey was born February 12, 1855 in London, Canada and moved to Sedalia with her parents the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morton, when a young girl, and has been a continuous resident of Sedalia since.

In 1872 she was united in marriage to Mr. James McRorey, who passed away in 1916. To this union were born six children. Surviving are Mrs. Dora Bolton, and Mrs. G. D. Potter both of Kansas City, Mrs. Arthur Kullman and Miss Irene McRorey both of the home address. Two daughters Mrs. Alice Holmesley and Miss Ella McRorey preceded their mother in death. One grandson Robert Bolton of Kansas City, also survives.

Funeral services will be held at the McLaughlin Funeral Chapel at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Reverend Ralph Emerson Hurd, pastor of the Epworth M. E. Church, officiating. Pallbearers will be the following friends Virgil Tucker, Otto Grishkat, Frank Clark, Don Middleton, B. J. Bahner and Frank Fisher. Interment will ne in Crown Hill cemetery." - Sedalia Democrat - Tue.
