Among George's children was Elizabeth Walton Allen. Elizabeth became briefly famous because she was a First Class Passenger on the ill-fated ship, the H.M.S. Titanic. She Survived this disaster, along with an aunt, and cousin she was traveling with, and the aunt's maid. They all Survived. Elizabeth became Famous for being the First Passenger taken off the 1st lifeboat by the Carpathia. She told her story of survival upon her return home to her family in Cazenovia, NY, which story was published in the local newspaper, and other New York State newspapers.
Elizabeth was Engaged to a Surgeon in England, and later returned to England, where they were married. For this reason, she is not buried with the rest of the Allen Family in Cazenovia.
