Freddie DeLoach 61, of Port Royal and son of Deacon Curtis and Mother Albertha Middleton DeLoach of Burton, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral Services for Mr. DeLoach will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 12 Noon, at the Burton New Church of Christ in Burton. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The body will repose at the Church from 11:00 AM Saturday morning until the hour of services. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Brother Freddie DeLoach, was born April 15, 1952, in Burton, South Carolina, the son of Deacon Curtis and Sister Albertha Middleton DeLoach.

He received his education in the local public schools of Beaufort County and was a 1970 graduate of Robert Smalls High School.

At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal saviour and became an active member of the Adams Street Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. I.H. Middleton.

Brother DeLoach was a very loving family man, son, brother and friend. He was employed by Coastal Contractors for many years. He was later employed with Keith's House of Plumbing, where he worked for 15 years, until his illness forced him into an early retirement.

On Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home and surrounded by his family, Brother Freddie DeLoach entered into an eternal slumber.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory, his loving family, namely his parents, Deacon Curtis and Sister Albertha Middleton DeLoach of Burton, SC; his six children: Shawan DeLoach of Columbia, SC, Frederica DeLoach of Lady's Island, SC, Devoria DeLoach of St. Helena Island, SC, Shunequa Smalls of Gray's Hill, SC and their mother, Marguerite DeLoach of St. Helena Island, Timoka Blake (Ervin) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Lanair A.C. Morton (Karen) of Utah; eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother DeLoach is also survived by three brothers: Curtis L. DeLoach (Queen) of Gray's Hill, SC, Steven V. DeLoach (Nancy) of Beaufort, SC and Jerold DeLoach (Connie) of Charleston, SC; four sisters: Suzann DeLoach, Rosetta DeLoach and Julia V. Frazier (Stanley) all of Burton, SC and Joyce Cuthbert (Rick) of Atlanta, GA; three uncles: James Middleton (Shirley), Allen Middleton (Thelma) and Samuel DeLoach (Lucinda); three aunts, Mary Bradley, Rosalie Goethie and Reatter Mae DeLoach; four brothers-in-law: Prince Bryan (Vanessa), Elder Freddie Aiken (Louise), Harrison Coaxum (Tracy), Hal Coaxum, Julius Smalls (Dorothy), Ann & Constance Coaxum and Patricia Jenkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to include a very special and dear friend, Elnora Jefferson of Port Royal, SC.
