She was a daughter of Warren and Carrie LaBarge Leonard. Following the death of her mother in 1914, she moved to Helena and was raised by her grandparents, Levi and Addie Dowe LaBarge. She graduated from Massena Central School and assisted her family in running the American House in Helena until her marriage.
She married Emmett F. Hall on Feb. 21, 1938 at St. Patrick's Church in Hogansburg. He died on Dec. 9, 1991..
Surviving was a son and his wife, Francis and Patricia, Canton; a daughter and her husband, Barbara and Douglas Wilson, Brasher Falls; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Two daughters died before her, Mary Hall at birth in May 1944 and Carolyn Hall on Aug. 24, 2001. A brother, Gerald Leonard, two sisters, Lauretta Curtis and Mildred Willix, and her maternal grandparents' children, Hubert and Levi LaBarge and Adele LaBarge Ellsworth, also died before her.
