Wendell Van Wilson, 72, Worthington, died Tuesday, April 13, 1993 at 9:25 p.m. at his residence. Born on September 10, 1920, in Greene County, he was the son of Frank Wilson, Jr. and Flossie VanDeventer. He was a retired farmer and formerly a State Meat inspector and member of the National Farmers Organization for several years and former Greene County President; and a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Worthington. He was preceeded in death by his parents; one son, Harry Wayne Wilson and one grandson. Survivors include his wife, Reba Hauser Wilson, whom he married on August 16, 1942, in Sullivan; three daughters, Annette Daniels, Worthington, Elaine Wilson, Indianapolis, and Karen Dennis, Clay City; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Rex Wilson, Bloomfield, one sister, Wanda Ray, Bloomfield. Services were Friday, April 16, at Welch and Cornett Worthington Chapel with Rev. Max Hetzel officiating. Burial followed in Calvertville Cemetery.
