Wanda Mae (Wilson) Ray, 93, of Bloomfield, passed away at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born April 6, 1918 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Frank and Flossie (Vandeventer) Wilson.
She worked for the Worthington School Corporation as a cook and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Farmers and Homemakers club in Worthington, Delta Theta Tau, Worthington Christian Church and Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: one brother, Rex Wilson of Bloomfield; her granddaughter, Laura Ellen Helms of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo H. Ray on August 16, 1998, one daughter, Rita Kay Young, a grandson, Michael David Young, one brother, Wendell Wilson, and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Henry Mann, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Worthington cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.
