John Fargo, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed residents of Wolfe Island, passed away on Sunday at his home. The funeral was helld from his residence on Tuesday morning to the church of the Sacred Heart, where a requiem high mass was celebrated at ten o'clock by Reverend R. A. Carey.
Surviving the late Mr Fargo are his wife, three daughters, Mrs Herman Staley of Wolfe Island, Mrs John Mosier of Brownville, N.Y. and Mrs Thomas Maloney of Clayton, N.Y. And Henry of Wolfe Island, also twenty six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and one sister Mrs W. Townsend of Kingston
In the passing of Mr Fargo, the community in which he lived has lost one of its most valued and warmly regarded residents. He was a retiring but kindly disposition, having always a deep consideration for others.
