Agata (Agatha) along with her husband and eight children arrived in New York on March 26, 1889. They had lived in Stara Kiszewa, West Prussia (Poland). The parish church they attended was in the city of Alt Kischau.

The family settled in Kawkawlin Twp. in (Bay County) Mi. and were farmers. In 1891 they had another child, Augusta, born in Mi.

Agata and Jacub came to America aboard the ship Bohemia. Their eight children are; Franziska, Marie, John, Paula, Xavier, Peter, Pelagia (Bessie) and Martha all born in West Prussia and son Augusta born in Michigan.
