CADIZ, Ky. — Services for Mercedes "Dee" Mayden Adams, 86, Morningside of Hopkinsville, formerly of Cadiz, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Revs. Wayne Garvey and T.D. Everett officiating.

Burial will be in East End Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight.

She died at 4 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside following a long illness.

A native of Randolph, Neb., she was born Aug. 8, 1913, the daughter of the late Bolivar and Lucy Mayden. She was a retired registered nurse, having worked in hospitals in Paducah, Cadiz, Murray and Princeton before retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Cadiz United Methodist Church. Her husband, Clarence K. "Jack" Adams, died in 1973.

There are no immediate survivors.
