Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Susan Root Langley and husband Brent of Dallas, TX and Stacy Root Koch and husband Don; son, Paul Mack Root Jr.; sister-in-law, Maxine Root; grandchildren, Landon Young and wife Kelly, Rachel Root, Courtland Langley, Connor Langley, Keaton Koch and Kirby Koch and great grandchild, Houston Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenest J. and Maude Toural; husband of 54 years, Paul Root, Sr. and brother, L.J. Toural. Pallbearers will be Don Koch, Keaton Koch, Brent Langley, Landon Young, Connor Langley, Mark Root and Wally Charleville. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Mardi Gras Krewe of Iduna, Lake Sherwood Acres Garden Club and the Volunteers of America.
