FATAL APOPLECTIC SEIZURE
Sudden Death of Mr. George McIlmoyle,
the Well Known Auctioneer of Lakefield
(Special From Our Own Correspondent.)
Lakefield,Sept. 13th - Yesterday afternoon while Mr. Geo. McIlmoyle, the well-known auctioneer, was engaged in plastering at the house of Mr. John Millage,he was seized with an apoplectic fit. It appears he had just carr- ied two heavy pails of plaster upstairs and complained of feeling faint. He asked for a glass of water and immediately fell uncon- scious. Dr. Bell was at once summoned, and had the unfortunate gentlemen conveyed to his home, where he was carefully attended to and everything done to relieve him. He gradu- ally sank until death relieved him from his sufferings about half past four o’clock this morning. This sad event is a great shock to the whole community,as Mr. McIlmoyle was well known all over the county. The family have the sympathy of the public in their sudden and sad affliction.
