In the Federal censuses, Nancy and Jacob no longer appear listed as living together after 1860. In the 1870 Census she's included in the Milton, DE household of daughter Sarah Eddington (misspelled Edington on the Census page) and her husband John. In the 1880 Census she's listed in the Lewes & Rehoboth Hundred household of son Thomas J. Wilson and his wife Sarah A.

In the 1870 Census there are no columns for specifying marital status. In the 1880 Census there are columns for Single, Married, or Widowed / Divorced. Nancy is checked off in the "Single" column.
