Hon. Wm. A. Blount, of Pensacola, nationally known lawyer and one of the prominent men of the state, died at Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore Wednesday morning at 6 o'clock to which place he had gone a week ago for treatment. He was a member of the constitutional convention of 1885, state senator and held other positions of honor and trust. He was an unsuccessful candidate for United States senator in 1911.
