Pat B. "Spot" Stephens, 61, of Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 26, 2014, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Wood County, the son of the late Calvin C. Stephens and Celia L. Bailey Stephens of Parkersburg.

He had been employed as a truck driver for Mid Ohio Valley Bulk Transport in Marietta, and had worked for many years at Corning Glass-Schott Scientific and also worked some evenings at The Net. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, NASCAR and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and spending time in Ritchie County at the farm with his best friend, Lowell.

In addtion to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rebecca L. Bennett Stephens of Parkersburg; his son, Patrick J. Stephens of Parkersburg; his brother, Robert Michael Stephens (Fran) of Marietta, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Kathryn Bennett of Parkersburg; his sisters-in-law, Linda Snider and Cindy Noland of Parkersburg, and Patricia Murphy of Sissonville, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Rev. Kent Lowther officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
