Celia Louise Bailey Stephens, 94, of Parkersburg, passed away April 27, 2018 at Milestone Senior Living in Parkersburg.
She was born in Washington, WV, August 4, 1923, daughter of the late Walter B. and Clara Hoffman Bailey.
Celia graduated from Parkersburg High School. In her early years, she had worked for the telephone company. She worked for thirty years at FMC and retired from Corning Glass.
Celia had many friends and family that helped her lead a long, happy and productive life, for that the family is thankful. For many years she enjoyed winters in the Palm Beach area of Florida.
Surviving Celia is her son Robert Michael Stephens (Fran) of Marietta, grandson Patrick J. Stephens, brother George Bailey of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews and very dear friend Angela Thorpe of FL
In addition to her parents, Celia was preceded in death by her husband Calvin C. Stephens, Jr. in 1989, son Pat B. Stephens (Becky), brothers Albert, Walter E. "Bud", Gordon, Glenn Bailey and sister Mary Reeder.
The funeral service will be 1:00 Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Rev. Wesley Vernatter officiating. Burial will be at the Lubeck Cemetery.
