He was married to Mildred Cales Bennett for 48 years.∼CLEVELAND - Edward Henry Bennett, 72, formerly of Meadow Creek, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in Cleveland Clinic following a long illness.
Born Sept. 1, 1928, at Meadow Creek, he was the son of the late Square[Squire] David Bennett and Effie May Smith Bennett.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Kyle, Ordie, Oral, Noah and Earl Bennett; and three sisters, Stella, Dexter and Ruth.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mildred Cales Bennett; four sons, Nicholas Bennett and Neil Bennett, both of Cleveland, Wayne Bennett and his wife, Charlene, of West Lake, Ohio, and Warren Bennett of Streetsboro, Ohio; three daughters, Rhonda Richmond and her husband, Roger, of Alderson, Anna Jewell Rohn and her husband, Douglas, of Parma, Ohio, and Laura Bennett of Cleveland; three brothers, Carl Bennett of Beckley, John Bennett of Beaver and Omer Bennett of Streetsboro; a sister, Sona Pack of Oak Hill; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Tempa Church, Judson, with the Rev. Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Alderson Cemetery, near Hix.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, and one hour before service Saturday at the church.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
