Sister of Governor Paul Brigham.
Married Medad Curtis(s)as the widow, Dinah Tracy.
The relevant entry in the History of the Brigham Family by W.I.T. Brigham, p.113 under No. 46 Paul(4) reads as follows:
"ii Dinah, b. 14 Nov., 1743; d. 16 March, 1836; m. (1) Medad Curtis, who d. in Conn.; they had son John(6), who moved to Ohio; she m. (2) 9 April, 1776,
Elisha Tracy."
The Coventry records published by S.W. Dimock confirm her date of birth (p.15) and her marriage to Elisha Tracy (p.252 with the additional datum that he was of Kent).
But neither Coventry records, nor Dimock's Mansfield records, have her marriage to Medad Curtis, the birth of her son John, the death of Medad Curtis nor her own death.
From H.D. Curtis we learn that the order of Dinah's marriages given above is reversed, Medad was her second. He tells us that Medad Curtis (son of Allen who moved around a lot), "...went north to Great Barrington, Mass., in 1776, and in 1779 Medad married Dinah Tracy in the old Episcopal Church there." Great Barrington vital records (pp. 30, 55) list the marriage of Medad Curtiss and Dinah Tracy Dec. 23,
1779, St. James Episcopal Church, but not John's birth.
