Services for Jessie Aaron of Coulterville, Ill. were held at the Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti Feb. 10 with the Rev. Paul Quinn officiating. Mr. Aaron died in Sparta, Ill., Feb. 7, 1981, at the age of 80. He was the husband of Edna Brewer Aaron of Coulterville, whom he married in Hamilton Ala., in 1927.
Mr. Aaron was the son of the late Eppsey and Delila Aaron and was born in Alabama April 2, 1900.
He is survived by his wife; seven sons, Loyce, Virgil and Hobert of Coulterville, Ules of Steeleville, Ill., Hubert of Sparta, Jimmy of Evansville, Ill., and Billy of Zion, Ill.; three daughters, Vernie May Downey of Sparta, Faye Glass of Dallas, Texas and Deene Moore of Coulterville; a brother, Lester of Slickville, Pa.; a sister, Ester Reese; 31 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 22 step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Grissom, Ray Grissom, Bobby Aaron, Virgil Aaron Jr., Jackie Aaron, and Ricky Aaron. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
