Emma "Candice" Crisantes of Corpus Christi, Texas; age 65, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2006 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on September 2, 1941 to Gilberto & Rebecca Torres and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by everyone she touched.

Candice throughout her years worked as a homemaker, printing, bookkeeping, PTA, Notary Public and anything else she felt like doing and set her mind to. She enjoyed volunteering every tax season preparing tax returns through the IRS for those who needed help. She was a devout Christian woman and spent her life serving the community and the ones she loved. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, intelligence, independence and (in)famous stubbornness, and most of all, her beautiful pure loving heart.

She was preceded in death by her father; Gilberto and her brother and protector Richard.

Candice is survived by her ex-husband and friend; Robert Crisantes Sr., her children; Debbie Crisantes, Yvette Parrish and Robert "Bobby" Crisantes Jr., her grandchildren that she adored; Elizabeth, "Bobby" Harmon, Autumn, Zachary, Jessica, Sabrina and Cristian, her brothers and sisters; Evila "Billie" (David) Stofleth, Martha (Rudy) Vergara, Gilbert (Mary) Torres, George (Maura) Torres, Elizabeth Vera, Jose (Mary) Torres and Rudy (Irma) Torres, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved.

Pallbearers will be: Gilbert Torres, Steve Needham, George Torres, Joe Torres, Rudy Torres & Rudy Vergara.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
