Mrs. Reimers was born June 25, 1903 in Mt. Olive, Illinois. She had been a resident of the Leasburg area and was a member of the Saint Francis Parish in Bourbon. She was a former inspector at Proctor Products in Bourbon as well as being employed at the local telephone office. She was first married to George White of St. Louis, Missouri who preceded her in death in 1952. She later married Walter Reimers and he too preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by a step-son Bud Reimers of Leasburg, Missouri, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Along with those previously mentioned, Mrs. Reimers was preceded in death by one brother Carl Hochmuth and six sisters, Edna Kertis, Martha Gaines, Clara Kellogg, Anna Keiser, Minnie Hochmuth, and Elsie Pazdernik.
Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 1997 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Rev. Father Robert Dusekicker officiating. Graveside services and interment were conducted at 2 p.m. in Union Miners Cemetery, Mt. Olive, Illinois with the Rev. Father Larry Anschutz officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
