In 1984 Helen and Cecil stopped in Napolean and visited with George's granddaughter and two granddaughters-in-law, who gave much information on George's descendants both deceased and living. Helen stopped at Forest Hill Cemetery to see their graves. Helen calculated that George and Barbara had observed their 50th wedding anniversary on 8 August 1918, before her death on 14 October 1918. Of the twelve siblings he lived the longest. His tombstone reads: Vol. Inf 32 Reg.
