Born April 23, 1933, in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Jacob H. and Grace Perry Hart. A member of Center Grove Baptist Church, she retired from J.P. Stevens. She was preceded in death by a brother, Shelton P. Hart. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Bumgarner; a son, Gary "Bummy" Bumgarner of Hudson; a daughter, Joetta Bumgarner of Lexington, S.C.; a brother and sister-in- law, Johnny and Doris Hart of Granite Falls; two nephews, Darren Hart and Derrick Hart of Granite Falls; a great-nephew, Alex Moore of Granite Falls; and a great-niece, Bailey Hart of Granite Falls. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Dan Redding at 3 p.m. Sunday at her church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Darren Hart, Leonard Bumgarner, Bruce Winkler, Rick Houser, Gary Annas, Dal Hice and Derrick Hart. Mackie-High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
